Things have been a bit grim around here the past few months.
So, after spending a few weeks immersed in the positive energy of the Olympics and the Democratic convention, I say Enough!
Fresh new header, courtesy of the amazing Calliope (long live the Snork!) and a fresh new blog look to sweep away the old stale chi of this summer's misfortune. Whee!
There's something about this political season that has me all energized -- possibly because it's the first time in over a year that I haven't had my hormones in an uproar for some reason. No Clomid, no shots, no whacky pieces of pregnancy hanging onto my insides. Just me settling back into my skin, starting to work out again, remembering what it's like to fit into my clothes and be able to focus on my work.
It's wonderful to think that there are only 65 days until this country will have a new sense of hope, political gods willing. (And puh-leeze -- I'm all for supporting amazing women in politics, but they have to be nice to the polar bears before they'll get my vote!)
Oh, P.S., if any of you have friends in rural Northern California, tell them to donate some time and money to this guy -- he's a good friend of ours who could really make a difference.
Great blog makeover! I like it!!!

Like the new outlook and the new bloglook!
I'm so excited about the coming change. I don't expect any miracles, but I do hope for a nice improvement in competence and articulateness...

Looks so great! I can kind of sense a spring in your voice. I am very glad for it. I'd say have fun working out, but I don't think that is possible. I know the rewards will be worth it though. You know, you are so right about the hormones. I didn't realize it, but your hormones were so out of whack for so long. I am glad they are returning to normal. Still thinking of you very often...
